Clarity in Product Development
Yesterday was a productive day that brought clarity to my goals. I successfully established the structure, methodology, and process for the leads page of my CRM product. This progress came from maintaining focus and aligning my actions with the goal of delivering a product that offers clear value to customers.
This morning, I began integrating the product into Peridot, a step that excites me because it enhances my ability to build, iterate, and act quickly. On the technical side, I have full control over the structure, backend, security, and adaptability, creating fertile ground for growth. This level of control makes the product highly scalable and customizable—ideal for the dynamic needs ahead.
Business Challenges and Strategic Shifts
Despite the technical progress, the business side remains challenging. Getting the product into the hands of users has been slow, despite my efforts. To tackle this, I’m adopting a recruitment-focused strategy. This will help streamline content marketing and sales while creating a pipeline for greater visibility. The immediate goal is to hire someone with the zeal and action to make things happen—a person who can energize outreach and help build momentum.
Hiring for Content and Marketing
The role I’m hiring for demands a high-energy individual who thrives on experimentation and innovation. Beyond the basics of content creation and social media management, the candidate must be proactive, socially engaging, and willing to explore uncharted paths. They’ll oversee content calendars for platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook while also conducting interviews and creating engaging outreach strategies.
This position is open to anyone passionate and driven—students, housewives, or professionals—since formal education isn’t a requirement. The focus is on energy, smartness, drive, and passion. Additional responsibilities include cold emailing, LinkedIn engagement, and identifying target customers by stepping into user groups beyond traditional technology circles.
Exploring New Ideas: DeLinked
A new idea has taken root: DeLinked, a tool designed to simplify recruitment workflows on LinkedIn. The vision is to create custom job application forms and streamlined processes for evaluating candidates, announcing results, and managing communications. This would make recruitment more efficient and less tedious for HR professionals, recruiters, and hiring managers.
Success metrics for DeLinked could include reducing time-to-hire and improving candidate quality through better workflows and automation. Exploring integrations with existing ATS systems could also add value and broaden its market appeal.
The Path Forward
Today’s focus is on building momentum. First, I need to kickstart the hiring process for the content and outreach position, ensuring the right energy and action drive the role. At the same time, refining the product’s business strategy and validating concepts like DeLinked will be essential. Finally, stepping out of comfort zones—both mine and the team’s—will be critical in reaching the right audiences and realizing the full potential of these initiatives.
Let’s get rolling!
